During Spring Break we took the kids to a museum. They had an Evolution exhibit, and it said that female apes don't go through menopause.

At first I thought that was good..but then I'm like oh wow.........that means you could have babies for forever.

I am NOT a Robot....

I have clicked proving I am not a robot as per LJ's instructions. And now here I am. If you have watched PBS lately or Rachel Ray, you've heard Dr. Christiane Northrup plugging her new book about Menopause.
I could go google for the exact title, but no, I'm going to keep rattling along here.

The one thing that struck me, was when she compared the life cycle to the moon cycle. The first half of our lives, the focus is on bringing new life into the world. Now is the time for us to give birth to ourselves.

As a few friends know, I am a published children's book author..but no I'm not going to reveal my real name. And if you know it...Shhhhhhh! :) Although I have been piddling in this field for a long time, finally I have time to devote to it. Well it could be a short window, as we have both college educations and retirement to plan for.

What's that Bible verse about the lilies of the field? Here I am Lord. Keep me clothed and fed, because I'm just beginning to blossom.

I'm Baaaaaaack!

If this name sounds familiar, it is - minus the dash. I changed my e-mail, forgot my password, and couldn't access the old account.

Well when it comes to my middle years I've been through the shock, the anger, and the denial. And now it's just time to go along on the journey and discover what the second half of my life will bring.

If you are at the same stage of life, know somebody at this stage, or just want to travel along with me, please friend me.
